This One-Pot Savory Beef & Rice with Cheddar is a perfect comforting meal that’s both flavorful and easy to make. With tender rice, ground beef, and juicy tomatoes cooked together in a blend of spices, this dish has a rich and hearty taste. The optional cheddar brings a creamy, melted finish, adding a delicious layer of texture and flavor.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked rice (white or basmati)
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté onion until softened, then add garlic.

Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.

Stir in rice, tomatoes, broth, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat.

Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender.

If using, sprinkle cheddar over the mixture in the last 5 minutes of cooking, allowing it to melt slightly.
